HeadSpa Solutions' Head Spa Academy takes pride in being the only head spa training centre in Australia recognised by the International Head Spa Association (IHSA). We exclusively deliver IHSA’s accredited syllabus, currently used by technicians and universities across South Korea.
We train nationally and provide comprehensive training in Korean-style multi-step results based head spa philosophies, methodologies, and techniques that set your business apart, giving you a unique competitive advantage and enhanced marketability.
Our curriculum covers scalp cosmetology and nutrition, enabling trainees to understand the significance of Korean multi-step scalp facial methods, and why it really works! Each product and step serve a distinct purpose, and by customising product combinations based on scalp type, practitioners can harness the power of personalised care for every client.
Our published textbook was developed by esteemed trichology and hair loss research professors, Prof. Ku and Prof. Park, who each have over 20 years of experience in the field.
The training is delivered through multi-part, self-paced online short courses/modules, designed for busy business owners and professionals seeking to fill specific knowledge gaps in targeted topics.*
*Module 5 onsite prac is currently only offered within Australia and NZ. Students can either choose to come to our Sydney training showroom or our instructors can come to you at your store (recommended as you get to train in your environment and we can provide tips on your set up). Training bundle is only available to those who can take the prac in Australia and NZ.

Course Structure
Our programs consist of multi-part short courses that allow you to learn at your own pace and fit your schedule. Upon completion, you'll receive a course certificate, and completing all courses in a program earns you a full Program Certificate (e.g., Certificate of Head Spa Specialist), enabling you to conduct consultations and head spa sessions confidently.
Theory lessons are self-paced online courses with quizzes to assess your understanding. In-person training is conducted at your salon or in a training room by accredited Australian instructors, focusing on practical skills, salon product usage, consultations, and scalp condition advice.
This is followed by a course held in-person training conducted at your location within your own salon set up (recommended), or in a training room by Australian-accredited instructors. Our prac sessions are not about practising a few massage techniques. It is packed full of practical consultation and information ranging from the setup, how to use the various salon products, tools and devices, conduct consultations, recognise and advise on scalp condition and diseases, and much more.

Designed with owners and store managers in mind, it is for individuals who have successfully completed the HSA100 Head Spa Specialist course and are now seeking to gain the expertise and official license to train our techniques to new internal staff on the foundational knowledge and techniques covered in HSA100.
We equip Advanced Head Spa Specialist Supervisor with a deeper advanced knowledge on areas covered in HSA100. In addition, the course will cover new topics like curating products for a more personalised service, add-ons and upsell components, and a deeper dive into designing head spa programs and treatments, practical skills and strategies necessary for effectively training and supervising internal staff in delivering exceptional and hygenic head spa services.
Once completed you will attain both the Certificate of Completion as well as the licence to supervise and train internal shop/spa location staff.
